In a social media post, the Coffee County Animal Control posted data regarding their 2025 activities.
1,029 animals came through our doors in 2025! For a small rural county, that’s not just a number — it’s 1,029 lives needing shelter, care, food, medical attention, and a second chance in one year.
That’s 1,029 times our team showed up — feeding, cleaning, treating, comforting, and advocating — all in a small rural shelter doing big work for our community. We work every day including holidays, weekends and even random 3 am call outs! Our staff have worked tirelessly to advocate for our dogs and we are very excited for our new shelter in 2026.
We want to thank everyone who has fostered, adopted, donated and pulled from our shelter. We could not succeed without the support of our community and the rescues who share our passion.
Our staff have seen some very hard cases this year but even through the frustrated tears, we are a family and couldn’t succeed without the communities support and eachother.
In 2026, we encourage our community to strive to do better. PLEASE keep your dogs on your property, spay/neuter your animals and provide proper shelter/vet care for the animals in your care.
