Mark Reed Promoted Assistant Chief of Manchester City Fire Department

Manchester City Mayor Joey Hobbs announced on his Facebook page (on October 15, 2024) that Reed had been promoted.

Hobbs posted the following:

“Mark Reed, a long time employee of the Manchester Fire Department, has recently been promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief. Reed began his career with the MFD as a firefighter in 1992. He has served in a number of positions since that time, ranging from Driver/Operator to Training Officer. Assistant Chief Reed has diligently served the citizens of Manchester for 32 years, and he is congratulated on his well-deserved promotion”.
