Westwood girls basketball got double-digit points from Jerzee Ferrell and Maci Jackson in a 46-23 rout of West Tullahoma Thursday night.
It was the second straight win over CTC teams to open the season 2-0 for the Lady Rockets.
Jerzee Ferrell caught fire in the third quarter, dropping in 10 points to help bust up a 15-15 halftime tie. Ferrell finished with a game-high 17 points. Maci Jackson turned in 13, Zallona Dillard 7 and Carter Trail 6.
Meanwhile, it was tough sledding for the Rocket boys. After trailing 13-9 in the first quarter, Westwood proceeded to only score 2 in the second period and couldn’t recover in a 43-22 loss at West.
Isiah Buchanan finished with 10 points for the Rockets but offensive production was hard to come by for anyone else. In fact, no other Rocket scored in the first half. Trenton Tanner scored all 6 of his points in the second half. Hayes Shemwell and Kingslee Miller each added 2.
