Wesley Grady Melton

Wesley Grady Melton passed from this life on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Waters of Winchester at the age of 83.  

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Holt Cemetery in Tullahoma.

A native of Coffee County, he was the son of the late Wesley A.  and Violet Holt Melton. He was of the Baptist faith and served 22 years in the United States Army where he served in Viet Nam. We owe him a great debt of gratitude for his service.

Wesley was also a former truck driver for J. B. Hunt and various other trucking companies.  In his younger years, he worked for Tennessee Tannery and for Camel and Dan both in Tullahoma. He enjoyed wrestling and CB Radios. His handle was “Tennessee Grasshopper”. Wesley was a good provider who loved his family and he will be greatly missed.  

Survivors include his children: Vernon Wayne (Ina) Melton of Hillsboro, TN., Edward Allen (Sherry) Melton of Shelbyville, TN., Lisa Ann (Michael) O’Rourke of Crocker Missouri, Steven Joe (Tashia) of Deltona, Florida, two sisters, Patsy and Noretta, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
