Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) warns about lightning

Lightning kills about 20 people in the United States each year, and hundreds more are severely injured.

TEMA has developed a list of myths they have debunked so that you can learn the facts to be ready next time lightning strikes.

And as always, if you are planning to be outdoors, look at the weather from a reliable source like your local National Weather Service office before you go.
