Dr. Dillehay is the principal of East Middle School and has held that position since 2019. Before joining EMS, Dr. Dillehay served as the principal at Robert E. Lee Elementary School.

“I’ve been blessed to work with wonderful folks throughout my career,” Dr. Dillehay said. “As for my time at East Middle School, it is amazing to see the commitment, dedication, and care that our teachers and staff pour into our students on a daily basis. I’m blessed to be a small part of such a fantastic team, and this award reflects the intentional and consistent efforts of our teachers, staff, students, and stakeholders. I’m proud of our school, and I love living in a community that truly values educating the next generation.”

Dr. Wilkerson serves as the district’s Director of Special Education and 504, a position that she has held since 2020. Prior to that role, she served as the Special Education Coordinator and also worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

“This honor is a testament to the outstanding general education and special education staff I am blessed to work with on a daily basis,” Dr. Wilkerson said. “We have such wonderful and professional teachers in our district, and this is purely a reflection of our team. My favorite part of this role is two-fold. I love watching our students grow beyond their potential from preschool to graduation. I also enjoy the daily interactions that I have with the faculty and staff who truly and consistently challenge all students today for their limitless tomorrow.”
