The Shelbyville Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and Digital Forensic Unit made an arrest May 23, 2025 in connection to an online shooting threat of the Madison Street Carnival.
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for posting the threat on Snapchat. The juvenile had been involved in the carnival shooting last year in June 2024 that sent one adult male to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Shelbyville Police Department would like to thank the concerned citizens who notified law enforcement of the Snapchat post.
