Funeral services for Mr. Ray Jones, age 80, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Ragsdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Monday, October 19, 2020. Mr. Jones passed from this life on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare – Harton in Tullahoma, TN.
Ray was born in Coffee County on September 10, 1940, the son of the late Homer and Birdie Jones. Ray loved spending time outside, tending to his garden, taking long walks, and enjoying his coffee while doing word searches. Most importantly to Ray was his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Ray is also preceded in death by five brothers, R.L., Glaudus, Roy, Leighton, and Jimmy Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lisa Jones; three sons, Dwayne Jones, Bobby Jones, and Jason Jones; three daughters, Karen Jones, Misty Spaulding, and Tammy Jones; one sister, Josie Baker (Meredith); thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
