Coffee County Central Red Raider football completed a historic season in 2022 and now the postseason honors are rolling in.
Five different Red Raiders received Region 3-6A superlative awards, 9 Red Raiders earned all-region honors, 2 players were honorable mentions and three Red Raider coaches were honored.
The Raiders had multiple underclassmen to make the list. Awards and all-region selections are made by other coaches within the region. Each coach is not allowed to vote on their own players.
The following Red Raider players and coaches were recognized:
Sophomore Cole Pippenger – Region Offensive MVP
Senior Konor Heaton – Region Running Back of the Year
Senior Jahlin Osbourne – Region Tight End of the Year
Sophomore Jayden Carter – Region Linebacker of the Year
Senior Ian Welden – Region Punter of the Year
Doug Greene (head coach) – Coach of the Year
Roger Barlow (offensive line) – Offensive Assistant Coach of the Year
Roger Haynes (defensive coordinator) – Defensive Assistant Coach of the Year
Junior Jake Barlow (linebacker) – All Region
Senior Ashton Ferrell (linebacker, DE) – All Region
Senior Robbie Gilley (OT) – All Region
Freshman Caiden Martin (safety) – All Region
Senior Travis Martin (WR, DB) – All Region
Sophomore Tyler Martin (DB) – All Region
Senior Kolby McCormick (OG) – All Region
Junior Blayne Myers (DE) – All Region
Junior Javon Simmons (OT) – All Region
Sophomore Tyler Smith (NG) – Honorable Mention

The Raiders went 8-2 in the regular season and beat Stewarts Creek in the first round of the playoffs for the program’s first ever playoff win and the 9th win in a season for the first time since 1969.
