Coffee County Emergency Management/Homeland Security Director Allen Lendley told Thunder Radio that a call came into the Coffee County Communication Center at about 5:00PM Sunday, that a parachuting individual had gone off course.
It took about 40 minutes for first responders to locate the man by pinging his phone. The man was lodged in a tree about 45 feet from the ground in a densely wooded area, near the Moore County side of the Tullahoma Airport.
Tullahoma Fire, Coffee County EMA, Tullahoma Law Enforcement and the Coffee County Rescue Squad worked together to assist in freeing the man from the tree using ropes and pulleys with a harness system.
Lendley went on to say that the man was unhurt, but shaken up.
