NWS: Manchester officially receives 6 inches of snow; heavier isolated pockets

NWS Snowfall totals for Jan. 14-15, 2024.

National Weather Service in Nashville officially released snowfall totals Tuesday afternoon.

According to NWS, Manchester officially received 6 inches of snow – which lines up with measurements sent into Thunder Radio News.

NWS determines snowfall numbers based on an average of values submitted. Nashville, Kingston Springs, Antioch, Dickson and Centerville officially received 8 inches.

Some areas, including southern Coffee County received closer to 8 inches of snow between Sunday evening and Monday evening.

TDOT crews continue to clear roadways. As of Tuesday afternoon, Interstates were clear and state highways were beginning to be more passable. However, side streets and county roads in Coffee County continue to be treacherous. Numerous businesses have closed up shop for Wednesday.
