Manchester Sewer and Water continues construction at City Hall

A project that started, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, is ongoing. Manchester Water and Sewer Department opened up a giant hole in the pavement right in front of City Hall on 200 W Fort Street.

At the Monday night Board of Mayor and Alderman Meeting, Manchester Water and Sewer Director, Phil Miller stated that crews would be opening up the hole to rectify a rain water run-off that goes into the City sewer system.

The hole is expected to be 10-12 feet wide and 10-12 feet deep. At this time it is not expected to impede traffic on Highway 41, but West Fort Street will be closed during the repairs, that are expected to take two days.
