Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Katy Riddle has graduated from the Institute for Organization Management, the professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, earning the prestigious Institute for Organization Management (IOM) designation.
The IOM Graduate Recognition is awarded to participants who complete 96 credit hours of coursework focused on nonprofit management. Graduates also earn credit toward the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) and Certified Association Executive (CAE) professional certifications.
Riddle joined nearly 1,000 professionals from across the country who participate in the Institute program each year.
“Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations,” said Karyn MacRae, senior director of the Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.”
Founded in 1921, the Institute for Organization Management provides leadership training for chamber, association, and nonprofit professionals. The curriculum is completed over four weeklong sessions held at universities across the country and includes coursework in leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance, membership development, and organizational management.
The program is designed to strengthen leadership skills while helping organizations operate more effectively and better serve their members and communities.
The Institute for Organization Management is the premier professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, offering networking opportunities and interactive learning experiences for chamber and association professionals nationwide.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business organization, representing companies of all sizes, local chambers of commerce, industry associations, and major corporations across every sector of the American economy.
