Manchester Board of Mayor and Alderman Special Call meeting

There is Manchester Board of Mayor and Alderman (BOMA) Special Call meeting this week, January 11, 2024 at 5:30 PM.

At the most recent BOMA work session meeting, BOMA was introduced to individuals from Degges Consulting Services, LLC.. Paul Degges described his organization as a ‘tool to improve the quality of life for communities experiencing economic growth, that need assistance with interfacing with State governmental agencies’.

On this Special Call Agenda is a resolution for the BOMA to vote on to contract with Degges Consulting Services, LLC for one year at a cost of $72,000.

Another item of note on the agenda is the first reading of an ordinance to amend Manchester Municipal Code 12-401, relative to new building projects impact fees, sponsored by Vice Mayor Mark Messick.

What is an impact fee in the state of Tennessee?

“Impact fee” means a monetary charge imposed by a county or municipal government pursuant to any act of general or local application, to regulate new development on real property.
