The Westwood Lady Rockets continued their strong start to the season Monday night, dominating South Franklin in straight sets with 25-11 and 25-9 victories live on Thunder Radio.
Westwood controlled the opening set from start to finish. Adley Selvog helped the Lady Rockets take command with a six-point service run as Westwood gave South Franklin few opportunities to build any momentum on the way to the 25-11 win.
The Lady Rockets wasted no time jumping ahead again in the second set. Selvog opened the set at the service line and delivered a pair of aces as Westwood raced out to an early 5-0 advantage.
Westwood continued to pour it on as the set progressed, including a big-time swing from left-hander McKenna Kehely over the middle.
Then came one of the most dominant serving stretches of the match. With Westwood leading 16-6, Elly Wild stepped to the service line and fired six consecutive aces, pushing the Lady Rocket advantage all the way to 22-6.
Bella Hastings eventually put the finishing touches on the night with an ace of her own to close out the second set 25-9 and complete the straight-set victory.
Westwood remains unbeaten to begin the season after another commanding performance live on Thunder Radio.
