Huntland Student killed in car crash

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has issued a preliminary incident report for a fatal accident that took the life of a Huntland teenager.

The report states that on January 27, 2024 at 12:59 AM, a 16 year old Juvenile was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry with a 13 year old passenger. The Camry was traveling east on Rambo Road in Lincoln County. While negotiating a right curve, the Camry traveled off the right side where it struck an embankment. the Camry then started into a spin and over turned. The Camry continued east, traveling across both lanes and off the left side of the roadway striking another embankment. The vehicle came to final rest off the left side of the roadway on the drivers side facing west.

The driver died as a result of the accident. The passenger had unspecified injuries.
