Calling All Plant Lovers!
Hickerson Elementary STEM School needs YOUR help! They gearing up for their winter plant experiments and are looking for poinsettias, other live holiday plants, or any houseplants you’re ready to part with (to help them).
Michelle Mullican, the unofficial STEM Coordinator at Hickerson Elementary School, had this to say:
Last year, this program was reportedly a huge success, and the students learned a great deal from caring for and experimenting with plants during the colder months.
You can drop off your plants after school resumes at the school office during school hours. Hickerson Elementary hopes that together, the community can give these plants new life and inspire young minds.
