Four CHS XC runners qualify for state meet

Coffee County barely missed out on qualifying for the state cross country meet as a team at Tuesday’s regional run in Manchester.

But four Coffee County runners are headed to next week’s state meet as individuals after impressive performances.

At Tuesday’s Regional Meet in Manchester — Kailee Rossman, Bailey Kitts, Chloe Hensiek for the girls and Cayden Miller on the boys side all qualified to advance to the state cross country meet on Thursday, Nov. 2 at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville.

As a team, the Lady Raiders finished just one point away from advancing to the state from the Tuesday regionals. Siegel won the region as a team with Rockvale second and Blackman third, Coffee County fourth, Stewarts Creek fifth, Oakland sixth, Lincoln County seventh and Riverdale eighth.
