Finance Director for the City of Manchester resigns; BOMA approves Year End Closing Services


In a story Thunder Radio brought you earlier this week, Lisa Myers, Finance Director for the City of Manchester, has turned in her resignation to Manchester Mayor, Marilyn Howard.

Mayor Howard said that Ms. Myers resigned for “personal reasons” and that Ms. Myers planned to stay with the City of Manchester until such a time that a replacement can be found.

At the February 6, 2024 Board of Mayor and Alderman Meeting, the Board approved a revised job description for the Finance Director position, citing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.

The Board also voted to contract with an outside accounting service to assist with Year-End Closing for the City’s books for the Finance Department. The cost of the outside contract is $20,000.
