Dorothy Ruth Haley

Dorothy Ruth Haley, age 74, passed this life on Saturday, February 10, 2024, after battling an extended illness, surrounded by her family. She was born July 22, 1949, to the late Willie B. Black and Jesse Ruth Shelton. Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her baby brother, Willie B. Black, Jr., and her first husband, Ray Fletcher, who died in Vietnam, serving his country in the United States Army. She is survived by her sons, Jeff Haley and his wife, Lisa, and Joey Haley (Mike Hillis); 3 grandchildren, Jenny Haley, Hunter (Emily) Haley, and Hannah Haley.

Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured her family and close friends. Anyone who knew her could tell you how much she loved people. Dorothy worked for many years at M-Tek in the housekeeping department, until she had to leave due to her medical issues. She was a member of the Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.
