Danny Ray Wells

Mr. Danny Ray Wells, age 70, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Wells was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX, to his late father, Perry Gale Wells and surviving mother, Rosa Agan Wells. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Wells worked in the automotive industry for many years in manufacturing, injection molding, and management. He then worked for the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department for 10 years, having served as deputy sheriff and a student resource officer with Coffee County Central High School and Coffee Middle School. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and shooting/target practice. Mr. Wells enjoyed being around his kids and any type of animal, especially his dog, Badge. He also loved watching cartoons, old westerns, woodworking, and knife making, putting to use his detail-oriented mindset.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Steve Collins.

Mr. Wells is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pauletta Wells; sons, Ben Wells, Nathan (Lisa) Wells, and Nicholas (Rebecca) Wells; daughter, Erin Wells; brother, Perry (Jan) Wells; sister, Jania Collins; grandchildren, Ryan Wells, Porter Wells, Reagan Wells, and Grace Wells; nephews, Micah Wells and Cole Frazier; niece, Coty Gregory.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN.
