Hot eats and cool treats are closer to coming to Manchester.

Dairy Queen held a ceremonial ground-breaking at its soon-to-be Manchester location Wednesday morning. Local owners and representatives from Coffee County Bank were on site for the occasion.

The site plan was approved by Manchester Planning and Zoning back in April of this year.

The Dairy Queen will be located across the street from the Manchester Rec Center and next door to a Dollar General at 215 Woodbury Highway

Manchester has been without a Dairy Queen for nearly 30 years, with the previous location on Hillsboro Blvd. closing in the late 90s.

New ownership is aiming for the end of 2026 or the first of January 2027 to be open.
