Comm Center phone lines are faulty; Sheriff says to call 911

At the December Coffee County Communications Center Board Meeting, multiple board members addressed issues that citizens have been unable to access assistance by using the non-emergency administrative phone numbers at the Coffee County Communication Center.

Coffee County Commissioner Missy Deford stated that she was concerned for the safety of citizens not being able to call on the phone lines and that this had been a problem for over a year. Sheriff Chad Partin advised that he was receiving the same complaints and that it had become an issue. 911 Communication Center Director Scott Leduc stated that AT&T was the provider and had been contacted, but AT&T had not fixed the problem.

Sheriff Partin went on to advise citizens to simply call 911 if they are unable to reach the Comm-Center authorities by the designated phone numbers, until the phone service is replaced by Ben Lomand Connect, in the near future.

The non-emergency Communication Center numbers in question are: Coffee County Sheriff Department line (931) 728-9555, Coffee County Communication Center line (931) 728-2991 and Tullahoma Administration line (931) 454-2083.
