10/20/19 — Margie Ruth Tucker Medley

Graveside services for Mrs. Margie Ruth Tucker Medley, age 80, of Estill Springs, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at New Brick Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Manchester Funeral Home on Sunday before the service.  Mrs. Medley passed from this life on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Manchester Healthcare in Manchester, TN. Margie was born in Winchester, TN, to the late Johnnie and Lottie Tucker.  She was a machine operator for Eden Industries before retirement.  Margie loved being outside in her flower bed and watch hummingbirds. In addition to her parents, Margie is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Medley; one son, James Kevin Medley; one daughter-in-law, Angela Medley; three brothers, Paul, Frank, and Bill Tucker; two sisters, Faye Banks and Mary Foster.  She is survived by one son, Claude C. Medley; one daughter, Vickie Evans (Stephen); two sisters, Joyce Randolph and Betty Wimberley; two grandsons, Jason Evans (Lacey) and Matt Evans (Kristy); two great-grandchildren, Luke and Libby Evans. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Manchester Funeral Home in remembrance of Mrs. Margie Medley. 10/17/19 — Raymond Johnson “Dinky” Duke

Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Johnson “Dinky” Duke, age 82, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Manchester Funeral Home with Dwight Duckworth and Ricky Duke officiating.  Burial will follow in New Reddens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16 and from 11:00 AM until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.  Mr. Duke passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Raymond was born in Rutherford County, TN, the son of the late William Johnson and Beatrice Shelton Duke.  Before retirement, Raymond was employed at Wilson Sporting Goods in Tullahoma for 42 years, where he worked in the professional finishing department.  He served several terms as a Coffee County Road Commissioner and was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Raymond was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Eddie Duke; and one sister, Peggy Duke Holden.  He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Beaty Duke; one daughter, Dana (Tim) Morris; two grandchildren, Emily (Jon) Robinson and Lauren (Jamie) Crouch; three great grandchildren, Charley Elizabeth and Jonathan Briggs Robinson and Regan Alandra Crouch.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Riley Creek Baptist Church, c/o Linda Banks, 385 Cannon Road, Wartrace, TN  37183. Carl R. Flynn

Carl R. Flynn, 77, of Winchester, TN passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Zanesville, OH to the late Leonard and Martha Flynn on October 2nd, 1942.  Carl is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Brenda Spillman Flynn; one son, Jeffrey Flynn; one daughter, Kristine Howard (Scot); brother, Terry Flynn; two sisters, Diana Snyder and Emma Wright; and four grandchildren, Jeffrey Cale Flynn, Richard Howard, Julia Howard, and Derek Howard, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Roberta H. Carden

Roberta H. Carden, 88, of Tullahoma, TN passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Manchester, TN on January 24th, 1931 to Charlie and Annie Hobbs Henderson. She is preceded in death by husband Charles Leighton Carden, sister Vennie L. Norris (Bennie), and brother Robert E. Henderson. She is survived by three children: Charles G. Carden (Candace), of Old Hickory, TN; Donald L. Carden, of Normandy, TN; Brian C. Cherubini (Timothy), of Williamstown, MA; and daughter in-law Barbara Carden. Four brothers: Charles G. “Junior” Henderson, of Nashville, TN; Royce Henderson (Ann), of Winter Haven, FL; Willard Henderson (Brenda), of Manchester, TN; and Randolph Henderson (Virginia), of Shelbyville, TN. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Donna L. Galloway (Alan) of Murfreesboro, TN; Shaun C. Carden (Christina) of Murfreesboro, TN; Jennifer Boone of Smyrna, TN; Taylor Winton (Ryan) of Tullahoma, TN; nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews and her best friend in the world, Marie Fulton. Roberta had a wonderful spirit, loving nature and a sense of adventure throughout her lifetime.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.    Memorial arrangements are being made with Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home and will be announced at a later date.
