Buddie Leon Cornelison

Mr. Buddie Leon Cornelison, age 79, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life at his home peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, surrounded by his children, family and friends on his father’s birthday.

Buddie was born in Manchester, TN, to his late parents Horace Cornelison and Iona Bell Baltimore Cornelison. He proudly served his country in the Korean War as a military Sergeant and sharp shooter with the United States Army and was also an info ops and intelligence specialist. He worked for 30 plus years as a custodian at Coffee County Jr. High School, known today as Raider Academy. Buddie lived his life serving God, was Pastor and co-founder of Common Salvation Church. He loved Bible study, fishing, deer hunting, woodworking and gardening. Buddie especially loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and family. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Glenda Cornelison; sibling, Mark Cornelison; first wife, Virginia Lowery Foster; brother-in-law, Joe Watters.

Buddie is survived by sons, Darrell (Melody) Cornelison and Daylon (Stephanie) Cornelison; daughters, Rachel (Michael) Johns, Tina Leanne (Don) Dunford and Teresa (Jayson) Davis; brothers, Aelex Cornelison and Kenneth Cornelison; sisters, Jane Watters and Dorothy Ott; grandchildren, Kurtis, Blake, Noah, Isabella, Alex, Adrian, Ariel, Gabriel, Aurora, Daniel Griffin, Bethany, Logan, Chevell, Chaylux, Chelsey, and DJ Cornelison; grandson-in-law, Cody Presley; great grandchildren, Bently, Lexi, Issa, Gracie, and Roman; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 5, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 1:00pm in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Coffee County.
