At the March 10, 2025 Coffee County School Board Meeting, Brenda Ramirez was honored for utilizing the Heimlich Maneuver at Deerfield Elementary School.

Tonya Garner, Coordinator of Coordinated School Health at Coffee County Schools read a “Thank you” from the American Heart Association.

Dr. Prater Powell, Interim Director of Coffee County Schools and Garner are pictured with Ramirez.
