BASKETBALL: Raiders edge Nolensville for third straight win

Coffee County turned up the defensive pressure in the fourth quarter Wednesday afternoon and got double-digit scoring from three players to beat Nolensville 49-46 in the Outback Classic at Blackman – the third straight win for the Raider boys.

Coffee County held Nolensville to just 7 points in the fourth quarter to break what was a 39-39 tie after three periods.

Cooper Reed led the Raiders with 15 points, followed closely by Brady Wright with with 13 and Jackson Shemwell with 12.

It was the third straight win for Coffee County to move the Raiders back to .500 on the year at 6-6.

The Raiders will play Kirkwood at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Outback Classic at Blackman High School.
