BASEBALL: Westwood thumps Cannon County

Westwood baseball poured it on Cannon County Wednesday afternoon in Woodbury, thumping the Lions 19-4.

Westwood scored 8 runs in the first and added 8 more in the third in a pair of big innings.

CJ Chavis had a pair of doubles and knocked in a run on the day. Kolton Strickland had 3 hits and 3 RBIs, he also scored 3 times. Brock Christian chased home 3 on a pair of hits.

Kaleb Hazelwood got the win on the mound, allowing 1 earned over 3.2 innings.
