Tennessee’s August elections are now complete, but voters still have one major election day remaining on the 2026 calendar.
The November 3rd election will include several important state and federal races.
Anyone wishing to register to vote in the upcoming election has until Monday, October 5th, to do so.
Voters can register online at GoVote dot TN dot Gov or in person at their local election commission office.
Early voting for the November election will take place from October 14th through October 29th. Election Day is November 3rd.
Big Races on the Ballot
One of the biggest races will be the contest for Tennessee governor.
Voters will choose a successor to Republican Governor Bill Lee, who is completing his second term.
U.S. Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn won the Republican primary on August 6th, while Jerri Green won the Democratic primary. The two will face each other in the November election.
There will also be a race for Tennessee’s 47th House District, which includes Coffee and Grundy counties.
Republican incumbent Rush Bricken will face Democratic challenger Mike Stein. Both candidates won their respective primaries without opposition in August.
Voters in Tennessee’s Fourth Congressional District will also choose between Republican incumbent Scott DesJarlais and Democratic challenger Victoria Broderick.
The Fourth District includes Bledsoe, Cannon, Coffee, Davidson, Franklin, Grundy, Marion, Rutherford, Sequatchie, Van Buren and Warren counties.
Coffee County Voters Split From State in Governor’s Primary
While Marsha Blackburn won the Republican gubernatorial primary statewide, Coffee County voters favored another candidate.
In Coffee County, John Rose received 2,421 votes, finishing ahead of Blackburn, who received 2,049 votes.
Montry Fritts was close behind Blackburn with 2,041 votes.
Statewide, Blackburn received 43.5 percent of the Republican vote. Rose received 34 percent, while Fritts received 23.5 percent.
Blackburn also won the Republican primary in several other counties across the Thunder Radio listening area, including Bedford, Franklin and Moore counties.
Warren County voters, like Coffee County voters, also favored Rose. Rose received 2,554 votes in Warren County, compared with 2,106 votes for Blackburn.
With the August elections complete, attention now turns to November 3rd.
Voters have until October 5th to register, with early voting beginning October 14th.
